Pulmonary Function Tests

Pulmonary function tests

In-office spirometry is a helpful tool used to assess patient breathing issues and lung problems. It also monitors ongoing functions much like monitoring a patient’s blood pressure or cholesterol. Studies have found that many patients are not always good at correlating their symptoms with their underlying lung function. We perform this test regularly on our asthma and COPD patients, as well as on those complaining of shortness of breath or having a persistent cough.
